Microsoft says it's looking into an official way to play Xbox 360 games on Xbox One. But it may not be what you think it means.
The Xbox 360 gets redesigned, again. This time it apes some of the Xbox One's glossy and matte design.
With the launch of the Wii U, Nintendo had more at stake than Microsoft in terms of gaming console sales last week. Even so, the Xbox 360 radically outsold the Wii U in North America. While there's no arguing with raw numbers — 750,000 for the Xbox 360 and 400,000 for the Wii U — the bigger picture is a bit more complicated.
Xbox Music launched today on Xbox 360. The streaming music service is similar to Spotify in functionality and pricing ($10 a month for premium service). Released in 2005, Microsoft's Xbox 360 console is still going strong. Holding the record for the top-selling console for the last 18 months, the Xbox 360 is getting yet another awesome special edition console. This time it's a translucent console and controller bundle for Halo 4's launch.
During last week's E3, Microsoft touted Xbox SmartGlass, its me-too attempt to add a secondary display to its Xbox 360 experience. Microsoft's updated the My Xbox Live app for iPhone to give us a tiny taste of what it's like to use a secondary device to control an Xbox 360.
Whew, that didn't take long. A month after putting its collection of over 17,000 Prime Instant Videos on the PlayStation 3, Amazon's ported its streaming catalog over to the Xbox 360 — complete with Kinect's gesture and voice controls.

Good news my U.K. gaming comrades. There's a new limited edition Xbox 360. Hope you absolutely love the Union Jack because this Xbox 360, Kinect and controller has the British flag slapped all over them.
When we hit "factory reset" on our gadgets, we expect all traces of sensitive information — all of it — to be wiped out — completely. Security experts have learned that with some basic hacking, credit card info stored on old Xbox 360 hard drives can be extracted. Sigh.
