The Kickstarter campaign to erect a giant statue of Robocop in Detroit was successful in terms of funding, and now the actual construction of the statue has finally been revealed.
Philadelphia already has a Rocky statue, so why can't Detroit get a cool movie action hero of its own? Thanks to the $50,000 raised by a KickStarter fund raiser, the Motor City will be getting its very own RoboCop statue, even if its mayor doesn't like it.
Well, this is adorable. A dad named Jim made his son a RoboCop costume out of empty plastic containers and a bike helmet. He then took him on a stroll around Detroit, taking pics along the way. Did I mention it's adorable?
Here's an "innovation" we hope will remain a design concept: the Scarab Chase Assistant is a electric semi-autonomous police vehicle. When a speeder zips by, a cop electronically tags that car with radar, and then sends the Scarab scurrying after it. What does this little RoboCop do when it catches up to the speeder?
