Full-size 'Hot Wheels' Camaro keeps the dream alive for adults
At last year's SEMA show, Hot Wheels unveiled a gorgeous, full-scale Camaro — grownups everywhere became instantly giddy and nostalgic for their toy car collections. But in 2013 this special Camaro — that was expected to remain a concept — will actually begin production.
Although the Hot Wheels package tacks on a set amount of $6,995 to the overall cost, GM will let you make some other decisions a la carte. You can pick between a coupe or convertible and a V6 or V8 engine. Way to make this trim more accessible, Chevy!
For your $7,000, you get the custom blue paint job, complete with a black racing stripe and fender flame graphics. The package also includes 21-inch "red line" wheels, the spoiler from the ZL1 and Hot Wheels logos inside and out. The interior upholstery is black leather with red stitching and the Chevy "MyLink " infotainment system comes standard.
Stay tuned for the production information and in the meantime, enjoy the gallery and video below.
