Pixar immortalizes Steve Jobs with a building he helped design

Pixar, a company that Steve Jobs heavily invested in, served as Chief Executive for and eventually sold to Disney, has named its new headquarters in his memory. A Pixar employee tweeted the photo you see here on Wednesday.

Steve Jobs also helped design the building. Jobs, according to biographer Walter Isaacson, said that he wanted Pixar's HQ to "look good 100 years from now." Jobs's contribution to the architecture was the large atrium that the building is centered around. The open work space, he thought, would encourage collaboration rather than silo employees away from each other.

For Jobs, whose design work continues to trickle out into the world, the dedication is a fitting tribute.
