Video of the Day: Jacket hugs you for every Facebook 'Like'

If you're missing that face-to-face interaction with friends while using social media sites, there's a jacket…that will hug you every time you get a 'Like' on Facebook.

If it's come to that, maybe it's time to get out of the house for a few hours, but this jacket comes from MIT Media Lab's Tangible Media Group (so it's pretty legit).

Here's an explanation, straight from one of the designers, Melissa Chow:

Like-A-Hug is a wearable social media vest that allows for hugs to be given via Facebook, bringing us closer despite physical distance. The vest inflates when friends 'Like' a photo, video, or status update on the wearer's wall, thereby allowing us to feel the warmth, encouragement, support, or love that we feel when we receive hugs. Hugs can also be sent back to the original sender by squeezing the vest and deflating it.

What do you think? Free hugs for all?
