We got our own last look at Endeavour when she flew over NASA Ames a few weeks ago. Her final move, however, was through the streets of Los Angeles to the California Science Center, and the Los Angeles Times was there to create this beautiful timelapse video of the journey.
The route Endeavour took forced the shuttle to squeeze through some impossibly small gaps between houses and trees, and light posts and road signs had to be removed in advance and replaced later:
It was time consuming and expensive, but there was no other way to do it, and for Los Angeles residents, it was a spectacle that they won't soon forget (and that they'll never see again). Down below is the well-done timelapse by the Los Angeles Times, and you can see it bigger here.
