Urban Outfitters gets rid of its cash registers

Urban Outfitters has taken a full-on dive in the 21st century (which is apparently run by Apple). The company announced that it won't be using those old-fashioned cash registers anymore. Instead, it will switch to iPods and iPads only.
Apparently, the iPads cost about a fifth what the cash registers do, and obviously have a huge litany of other uses. It can hold personal information , be used as a gift registry, view inventory at other stores and the list goes on.
iPads and iPods are becoming more ubiquitous in stores, but this is the first I've heard of a huge corporate switch over. If you know of any other stores that are doing this sort of thing, let us know in the comments.
