Fashion models bring Google Glass tech to the runway

So far the only look at Google Glass most of us have had is through the company's Google+ page, and via the Google I/O conference. But Google took a giant step toward mainstreaming the device this weekend by allowing it to become a part of New York Fashion Week.

Famed designer Diane von Furstenberg used specially color-coordinated versions of Google Glasses in her fashion runway show. Looking like very well dressed, attractive Borg drones, von Furstenberg's models walked down the runway wearing the devices, which were actually recording segments for a behind-the-scenes documentary called "DVF through Glass."
