$2 million camera lens comes with a Mercedes to use as a case

When you fork over $2 million bucks to get a custom-made Leica lens, you can be sure it's going to include some fancy accessories. While most people get a nice case for their new lens, this one has its own custom-fitted, four-wheel-drive Mercedes-Benz to lug it around.

The lens was commissioned by Prince Saud bin Muhammed Al Thani from Qatar, and is a Leica APO-Telyt-R 1:5.6/1600mm. At over four feet long and tipping the scales at 132 pounds, you're not exactly going to throw this in your camera bag, which I guess explains the special vehicle.

Just what the camera buff of a prince plans to use it for isn't clear, although I'm pretty sure it won't fit onto that $2.8 million Leica we saw a while back. He won't even get bragging rights for having a unique lens (though, he'll come close), because it turns out that Leica first built a prototype version that the company kept to display in a showroom in Germany.
