The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation hosted a "Reinvent the Toilet Fair" on August 14 and 15. And, yes, you guessed it — the goal is to find a better way to dispose of, well, you know, all without using water, electricity or a septic system.
Student researchers at the University of Colorado, Boulder were awarded a $780,000 grant for their idea, which uses sunlight to turn waste into biological charcoal. Check out the videos below for what could very well be the future of the humble toilet.
