A place to watch books get sold in real time

I'm a huge fan of maps offering arbitrary information, such as this wind map. Well, another map has joined the fray. The Book Depository Live tracks books being sold across the globe, in real time.

Not sure what its purpose is, but it shows a Google Map of the world. Every time a purchase is made through The Book Depository, it pops up on the screen with place, the book title and how long ago it was bought.

Been watching it for about fifteen minutes, and I haven't really been able to detect any patterns. Cool, nonetheless.
