Usher wants your hologram to dance with him at an upcoming show
Remember a few weeks ago when they brought Tupac back to life as a hologram? Well it looks like Usher saw that and figured it would be a swell way to breath a little fresh life into his own career.
At the June 11 show in London Usher won't be replacing himself, but will instead be using a virtual dance crew made up of holographic virtual avatars created by his fans. The show will be streamed live on Usher's VEVO channel on YouTube, and according to show director Hamish Hamilton, "literally, people will be able to create their own avatar and have it dance on the screen with Usher." Quite how that will work wasn't made clear.
I guess that's one way for Usher to get by without having to pay for a dance crew and rehearsals, but I wonder if they know just how crappy most people's dance moves are?
The virtual dance-a-long will only be during the song Scream, so I guess you should start practicing that one.
