The sound of your voice is the charm in this jewelry

If you are looking for a really unique gift to wow someone, it doesn't get much better or geekier than allowing them to create a necklace or bracelet created by the sound of their own voice. You simply create an audio recording of a voice and its unique wave pattern is translated into discs of acrylic, wood or silver that are strung onto leather, elastic or PVC.

There is something really special about this jewelry from Berlin-based designer David Bizer. Since no two voices are alike, nor are you likely to say the same thing in the same way twice you get something completely unique. It's like wearing a little secret around your neck or wrist.

Bizer's Waveform jewelry is not new, but he's expanded its range and even offers the ability to download a tutorial via Instructables on how you can make the jewelry at home (with the right software and other materials). That's pretty cool…you could work on the jewelry together with your special someone.

If you decide to give it a go, consider that the waves look more precise with thinner materials and short speech samples. You can pick a special musical piece but if you want it to be unique — don't choose something with too many repeating patterns and go for the vocals or a unique melody.

With a special occasion always on the calendar at some point, this jewelry would make a really unique statement gift so file it away in your bookmarks.
