You've seen the alleged "leaks" for the next iPhone, but what if Apple were to make a more radical change, eschewing any metal and implementing a transparent display? It'll never happen, but if it did, it'd probably be as awesome as this concept by Dakota Adney.
When you let your imagination run wild, anything is possible. Adney's "iPhone 5" concept replaces the iPhone's LCD with a transparent display and tosses in a projected keyboard.
But how far of a stretch is a cellphone with a transparent display? Japan's Docomo actually has one built by Fujitsu. It's extremely limited right now; no color and it can't be used in bright lighting, but we're making progress.
Enjoy the concept, because it won't make a showing in the iPhone 5, 6, 7 or 10.
