Star Wars is a patchwork of historical cues and myths from around the world. Fantasy artist Clinton Felker has explored this concept by creating a series of colorful works that transport characters from the Star Warsiverse into a neon-drenched feudal Japan.

In this vibrant, detailed alternate history mash-up, lightsabers and blaster rifles give way to to samurai katana and kabuto.

Feudal-era Darth Vader will not accept any uprisings against Daimyo Palpatine.
