Skateboarders are generally fit people, which speaks to the effort needed to propel the vehicle. But what if there was a skateboard for us lazy wanna-be skaters that didn't require constant foot-powered locomotion? Well that day has finally arrived.
The ZBoard is an electric weight-sensing skateboard that, similar to a Segway, moves when you lean forward and stops when you lean back. The vehicle is equipped with regenerative braking and an electric motor and travels 15 miles per hour with a range of about 5 miles. The board is not designed for tricks, can roll when pushed (but not as fast or freely as a normal skateboard), and it's not recommended for those who weigh more than 225 pounds.
