The nightlight reborn: consider the toilet light sensor
As you know we are always on the lookout for the most cutting edge, useful devices to bring to your attention. Surely a light-up sensor, that comes on in a gentle, non-judgmental glow when you have to hit the bathroom at two in the morning, fits this description perfectly.
The Toilet Sensor clips on to your toilet tank and has soft blue LED lights powered by three AAA batteries that light up only when it senses movement. It is supposed to give just the right amount of light so as to allow you to navigate the bathroom without waking up someone in the next room.
The only thing I find strange about this is that this sensor came to my attention in one of my RSS feeds. What exactly is the Internet trying to tell me?
Upon further examination of this sensible sensor, I realized it is being rolled out as a Father's Day gift. I had indeed been looking for a Father's Day gift, but I honestly don't feel this as an appropriate choice for me and my dad.
I do know some grads who could probably use one, though.
Nevertheless, while it's not a complicated app or video game, it is a useful little gadget for those big kids who need a night light to find the toilet after a night of drinking.
Or, it would also work for those who live with Sheldon Cooper types where any misdirection is not appreciated.
