The guitar urinal isn't just a rock and roll fantasy — it's real
Guys, all that time you've spent writing your name in the snow is about to pay off. This electrical guitar urinal, complete with an amp, cranks out some crazy tunes when you pee into the specially designed bowl. As if you needed an incentive to drunk spray.
The "Guitar Pee" has been popping up in bars around Sao Paulo, Brazil and from the reactions in the video below it is either the most engaging or thoroughly terrifying and confusion promotion ever created.
The way it works isn't complicated. You pee on the strings to create your own unique tune. It's hard to believe this gets better, but it does. When you flush, you can write down the number generated by your tuneful toilet and when you visit guitarpee.com you can retrieve your own personal "MPEE3."
The mastermind behind the stunt isn't some beer company as you might expect, but rather Billboard Brasil. The Guitar Pee was meant to drive home their tagline, "Music. We know it comes from everywhere."
The only downside I can see is the absolute knowledge that guys will drink themselves silly trying to better their sound. And while they may think they are getting better the the more they drink, it's very likely to not be the case.
We are still waiting to see what the data shows on the successful gameplay with those urinal gaming machines…
There is also the unfortunate thought that many a significant other will be treated to the ear piercing sounds of their boyfriend's masterpiece in the middle of the night. It will give new resonance to drunk dialing.
Of course a product like this deserves the requisite puns — and it looks like Billboard has stolen most of the good ones with things like "MPEE3."
I will close with a wish though: "For those who are about to rock we salute you."
