Audi e-bike lets you control riding modes via smartphone

E-bikes haven't enjoyed a great reputation, due in part to the fact that most of them look like would-be motorcycles for the less-than-brave, or training-wheels-evoking contraptions that scream "Yes, I'm out of shape." However, Audi's entry into this field aims to change all that.

Simply put, Audi's Wörthersee model electric bicycle is possibly the sexiest e-bike you've ever seen. If superheroes biked to work, this is the bike Batman would hop on to beat crosstown traffic. Constructed of carbon fiber-reinforced polymer, the bike has a 2.3 kilowatt electric motor, a range of 44 miles, a lithium-ion battery, can reach speeds of 50 miles per hour, and weighs only 24 pounds.

The bike also allows you to change riding modes via smartphone. No price has been announced, but you can see the Audi e-bike in action in the video below.
