We all have secret stuff that we want to keep away from prying eyes, but it seems like everyday people are getting their passwords hacked. This USB thumb drive keeps your data locked away even for someone who knows your password, because you have to say it using your own voice to unlock it.
The 8-GB drive has a built in microphone, and uses voice recognition software to make sure that it's actually you saying the secret code. There is apparently a way around the voice recognition stuff that you can use if you have a bad cold or laryngitis, but that sounds like it kind of defeats the whole purpose of the thing on some level.
The voice authenticating USB drive is available now for about $50 from Hammacher-Schlemmer.
