If you hate those annoying Captcha words you need to figure out before posting on many websites (including DVICE), then a company called Are You A Human feels your pain. Its system, PlayThru swaps those unreadable words with a simple little visual game that requires some human knowledge.

For example, it might bring up an empty pizza crust with some pepperoni slices, a car tire, an onion and a shoe floating nearby. You need to drag the appropriate items over to the pizza to pass the test. Apparently spambots have a tough time figuring out that humans don't like tire pizza, and don't manage to get it right.

I tried about a half dozen of the demo examples, and this seems ridiculously easy compared to our Captchas here at Dvice. Let's hope they catch on.
