For the premier of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace 3D, Lego professionals (can you believe that's a job?) Rene Hoffmeister and Axel Al-Rubaie developed a new way to play the Star Wars theme song with a barrel organ made out of Lego, themed with four Star Wars worlds. Mind blown.

Made from over 20,000 Lego pieces, the Lego barrel organ only requires you hand-crank it to get the song going. Displayed in several German movie theaters, this one-of-a-kind Lego creation's final destination will be Legoland Germany.

We took the iconic Star Wars Main Theme, rearranged it and translated it into a matrix - the constrution [sic] blueprint for the organ. Then, we took the four most famous Star Wars worlds - Hoth, Tatooine, Endor and the Death Star - and built them on to the barrel, accordingly to the musical composition. When the organ is turned, the bricks touch little mechanical sensors - which strike the keys of a keyboard and play the Star Wars Main Theme.

A big Star Wars fan, I'd pay more money to rent this thing out for a night than I would on a ticket to the 3D version of Episode I.
