The Avengers, the first of a stream of superhero blockbusters this summer is arriving on May 4 (that's next week) and to celebrate, Target contracted Wieden + Kennedy to use everyday goods to recreate the heroes' iconic attributes. This is what we call geeky art.

The creations utilize everything from soda cans to action figures to Nerf Vortex discs to create a bust of Iron Man, Captain America's shield, Thor's hammer, The Hulk's arms and even the Avenger logo.

It's a great ad campaign and one that is distinctively Target. Our hats off to the designers who masterminded these works of art. Brilliant!
