Mmm! Cake shop plasters elevators with lickable wallpaper

In these economic times, cake shops can't afford to give out free samples of their baked goods. Absolutely not! The next best thing is to brainwash elevator riders into craving your cakes is with wallpaper that can be licked. Gross? Definitely. Desperate times call for crazy tricks.

McVitie's Jaffa Cakes partnered up with communications firm Engine to create a lickable wallpaper featuring 1,325 cakes. Developed in four weeks, each cake can only be licked once.

A bellboy will then remove the cakes that have been licked. Phew, bet you were about to freak out over all the saliva, weren't you?

See? Not awkward in a lift full of people at all!

Engine says the inspiration for the ad campaign apparently came from the movie Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory."

If the reception is positive, Jaffa Cakes wallpaper could be installed in other London offices.

Good idea or bad? You be the judge.
