10 spectacular space images drawn by kids from around the world
The 2012 Space Foundation Student Art Contest is one of those things that makes those of us who are (for all practical purposes) "old" wonder just what the heck we were doing when we were kids.
No matter what sort of answers we come up with, it's probably nothing as beautiful or creative as these works of space art by children from pre-K through high school.
The theme for this contest was "Space is Infinite — Explore!" which seems like just another way of saying, "go ahead and do whatever!" Either way, it turned out fairly spectacularly, and in the gallery below we've got our favorite pics from the winners and runners-up.
