Vigilante rider uses cellphone jammer to shut up noisy passengers

People yakking really loudly on their cellphones can be particularly annoying, so a Philadelphia man has decided to take the law into his own hands by shutting down conversations on the bus with a hand held signal jammer.

During his regular ride to work on the #44 SEPTA bus, the rider known only as "Eric" would fire up his jammer whenever he felt that his peace and quiet was being disturbed.

NBC Channel 10 in Philly caught up with Eric, and asked what he thought about the fact that his actions were illegal, Eric responded that he figured it was a "gray area," But when the FCC responded to the story confirming that his actions were subject to a $100,000 fine and even jail time, Eric said that he would switch off his jammer for good.

While I agree that noisy cellphone users can be really annoying, I think that someone deciding on a whim that they are going to cut off your phone is even more obnoxious.
