They say you can't take it with you when you die. That may be true, but you can definitely spend the money to make sure your last ride to wherever you will be resting goes off in bling-bling style.
This Rolls Royce Phantom Hearse B12 will surely get the job done.
The B12 will be making its glorious debut at the Tan Expo, a funeral industry trade show taking place this week in Bologna, Italy. Discerning funeral home directors can pick one up for $662,000.
It's not clear how that cost would be passed along to your family when it's time for that final ride, but at that point you probably don't care. So if you want to know what your bereaved will be talking about as they follow you in their Honda Accords and Buick LeSabres, here's what this special hearse brings to the party:
The Rolls Royce Phantom Hearse B12 by Biemme Special Cars has a sculpted aluminum body with all the curves, detailing and grille you'd expect from a Rolls. It also has the same powerful 6.75-liter V12 engine. You will find a few new features like the self-leveling air suspension and the 23-foot chassis for that extra space in the back.
It being a Rolls Royce means they didn't just slap together a stretch version of their regular Phantom. That 23-foot chassis is the culmination of 600 assembled parts and an incredible 650 feet of welding to create the lengthy, curvy lines of the body.
This Rolls Hearse isn't just another pretty face in the hearse game. With those custom welds this car really appears to live up to the price tag.
The only thing left is to pick out a coffin that will look good in the back.
Correction: Due to an error, the headline of this post originally stated the price of the hearse as $36 million, while the actual price is $662,000, as stated in the article. We regret the error.
