iPad-ready watch vault lets you wind your piece from across the globe

Anyone who owns a lot of fancy mechanical watches knows that you need to wind them on a regular basis to keep them in good shape. There are plenty of motorized watch winders on the market, but what if you're a globe-trotting billionaire who's often away from home?

The Hublot Watch Winding Safe by Dottling looks like just the ticket, with room for 42 of your favorite watches, and an app that lets you control the whole thing with your iPad.

Each individual winder can be controlled independently, so if some watches need more winding that others that's not a problem. The iPad slips into a dock on the top of the safe, but can also connect to your home network via Wi-Fi, letting you control your watches from anywhere on the planet with an Internet connection.

The watches are divided onto two motorized panels that can be rotated out of sight for added security. Of course at $205,000, any potential thief would probably be just as interested in the safe itself as the watches held within. Luckily the safe can be connected to your home security system, and because it weighs in at around 400 pounds, this sucker isn't going to be easy to move.

Personally, I think I'll stick with my battery powered Casio. It never needs winding, and probably keeps better time than whatever you might put in this thing.
