Batman, being Batman, probably has no need for a race car from Nissan. But if he did need a race car from Nissan, he'd probably have Bruce Wayne go and buy the DeltaWing, an entirely new take on IndyCar and LeMans racers.
It doesn't take much in the way of automotive knowledge to see that DeltaWing is unlike any other car except for, you know, the Batmobile. DeltaWing is lighter and more aerodynamic than anything that it'll ever be competing against, but features a relatively small 300 horsepower engine, the idea being that it'll be just as fast as other cars while using only about half the amount of fuel.
Originally, DeltaWing was pitched to IndyCar, who passed on the design as "too radical." Weaksauce, IndyCar, weaksauce. Instead, DeltaWing is going to be putting on an exhibition performance at the 24 Hours of Le Mans race in the experimental vehicle category this June.
