The 'real' Gundam theme park will now open in Tokyo

Sometimes bootleg attempts can provide inspiration. At least that's the easiest way to explain how China launched its fake Gundam theme park two years before Japan, which just announced an official version of the robot playland.

Centered around the popular life-sized Gundam statue, the theme park will be called Gundam Front Tokyo and opens in April. It will include a free area and a paid area (approximately $13), as well as a Gundam-themed cafe. The small theme park will include tons of Gundam history as well as some choice Japanese robot suit swag.
