The worst Steve Jobs parody ever promotes an Android tablet
Steve Jobs parodies used to sell non-Apple products are on the rise, and we should probably get used to that sort of thing. But as loyal techies we should insist that these parodies never be as lame as the latest one to emerge from Taiwan.
A new Taiwan commercial promoting an Android tablet features Taiwanese actor Ah-Ken dressed as Steve Jobs with angel wings and a halo. The actor happily trots out on stage and begins to extol the virtues of the new tablet from Action Electronics, all while his tiny angel wings flutter with excitement.
Another Taiwanese company used a much better Jobs impersonator just last year, but that was while the real Steve Jobs was still alive. Now that the iconic tech innovator is dead, it's a sure bet that many Apple fans won't take kindly to a company using the image of Jobs to promote a rival product that uses an operating system he actively waged war against.
Did this company do the wrong thing by using Steve Jobs' memory to promote its products, or is the commercial just harmless fun? You can judge for you self by watching the video below.
