Lady Gaga's 'Little Monsters' social network is a Pinterest clone

The pop world's most controversial dresser and queen of Twitter and YouTube is launching her very own social network. Aptly named "Little Monsters" (that's what she calls her fans), the site's leaked beta screenshots suggest her cult community network closely resembles that of the rising Pinterest.

With over 19 million Twitter followers, 47 million Facebook fans, 330,000 Google+ followers and billions upon billions of views on her YouTube videos, Gaga seems well fortified to launch her own social network.

Currently in invite-only beta, Little Monsters is created by Backplane and is a combination of Pinterest and Reddit. Members are encouraged to create and share Gaga-related content, then "pin" them up for fellow "Monsters" to vote up and down.

It remains to be seen just how similar her network will be to Pinterest and whether Pinterest will object when Gaga's network officially launches sometime this year.

There's even some lightweight image editing tools similar to Photoshop that aid in the creation process.

Not much else is known about the social network. Backplane does expect Little Monsters to be a platform that'll eventually lead to other communities that "unite people around interests, affinities and movements."

Since Lady Gaga hit the pop scene, her eclectic message has been to inspire people to be their true selves.

Her Little Monsters social network will let you pin things that inspire you. But don't think you can go around posting whatever the hell you want.

Admittedly, there will be moderators who will be watching over the content so it looks like slandering her image won't be happening too often. As far as calling it a social network? It's not for everybody. It's more of collaborative community for her fans. Haters should probably look elsewhere to troll.

I won't lie, I love going crazy on "Poker Face" or "Bad Romance" with some friends during a night of karaoke, but I'm not a big enough fan to sign up for her Little Monsters social network. I just don't want Lady Gaga news 24/7.

If you want to beta test this, you can sign up for an invite at Little Monsters.
