Recycle your old obsolete tech by turning it into geeky furniture

Like a lot of people, I have a closet stuffed full of old obsolete tech. Having shelled out over $3000 for a PC back in the 1990s, it's hard to just toss it out. Now your old gear can live on, as furniture to sit on as you play with your new tech.

To make his N+ew Seats, Chilean artist Rodrigo Alonso takes a bunch of old gear and dumps it in a stool shaped mold. Then he fills the empty spaces with clear epoxy resin that leaves the tech suspended like it was frozen in ice.

The results are interesting, but I don't think the WAF (wife acceptance factor) is very high. What would drive me nuts is if I saw something I really needed to use buried deep in the goo. Time to get out the chisel?
