It seems like New York City is quickly becoming the Star Wars geek capital of the world. First we had that epic lightsaber battle down in Washington Square park, and now a group of Jedi and Sith have staged a frozen battle moment to promote Star Wars: The Old Republic.

The online role-playing game game was launched last week, so presumably distributors EA and LucasArts kicked in some money and organization to make this event happen. The costumes certainly look a few steps up from the sad looking Star Wars geek Halloween specials we usually see.
