House of the Rising Sun gets the old-tech orchestra treatment

If nothing else, old obsolete tech gear is great for creating some pretty fine geeky music. Last time it was a theme from Star Wars played on some old floppy drives, but now we have the classic rock favorite House of the Rising Sun recreated on a host of old tech gear.

Canadian YouTube user BD594 has put together a complete retro tech orchestra for this one, including a HP Scanjet 3P on vocals, an Atari 800XL on organ, a Texas Instruments (very appropriate) Ti-99/4A with a Tektronix oscilloscope as the guitar and a hard drive powered by a PiC16F84A microcontroller for the bass drum and cymbal. The results are pretty impressive if you ask me.
