Six-story-tall Windows Phone 7 takes over New York City
Microsoft kicked off a huge marketing blitz in New York City's Herald Square today to hype Windows Phone 7 and it did so by erecting a huge six-story tall Windows Phone 7 fit for a giant. The awesomeness didn't end there. Read on to find out what they were doing inside the phone!
A huge phone is a huge phone. It's not much to write about. Promoting four new Windows Phone 7 devices — HTC Titan, HTC Radar, Samsung Focus S and Samsung Focus Flash — is nice too, but you know what's even cooler?
Serving hot dogs — gourmet hot dogs — on a stage inside the huge "live tiles" is leaps and bounds cooler than looking at more invisible glass cubes.
Microsoft picked two lucky attendees (event was a huge public street party) on stage and served them Kobe beef hot dogs, Nathans and all sorts of lavish sausages — the best in the world apparently.
Pay attention people, this is how you have a party.
For two bonuses, here's a time-lapse video of Microsoft erecting the giant Windows Phone stage and The Verge has a video of the inside of it. Neat stuff!
