Amazon has just unveiled a new incentive to sign up for their $80-per-year Prime service: a lending library for the Kindle, allowing you to "borrow" books for free.
The service offers up thousands of books for your free reading pleasure. You'll be free to check out up to one per month, and you can keep it as long as you want. Not bad!
Of course, don't expect the latest bestseller to be available. While Amazon promises "over 100 current and former New York Times Bestsellers," no major publishers are on board yet. But that doesn't mean that Amazon won't get them on board eventually.
When you add the lending library to free two-day shipping and video streaming, Prime sure starts to look like a good deal.
