Bill Nye. Neil deGrasse Tyson. Pamela Gay. Lawrence Krauss. Phil Plait. If you're not totally geeking out right now, I don't know what the heck is wrong with you. These luminaries all got together at TAM11 in July to talk about Our Future in Space, and the video is worth watching if you like science. SCIENCE!
Maybe the best part of this panel is listening to these hyperintelligent experts argue about what they think the best path towards space exploration is. Should it be humans, or should it be robots? What's going to happen with private commercial spaceflight? Will our first Mars trip be one way? Is international collaboration the answer to funding issues?
The video is 53 minutes long, and I'll be totally honest: as big a fan of space as I am, I wasn't expecting to be willing to sit through the whole thing. But I just did, and it was absolutely worth it. You won't be disappointed; the video is below.
