Time Warner is testing out offering movies to viewers at home on demand right when they hit theaters. It's a test, one that may lead to more such releases if it's a success.
The first movies on offer under the test are Trespass, Marginal Call and Melancholia. The first two films are out today, while Melancholia comes out on November 11.
Prices aren't clear, but expect them to be much higher than your average movie ticket. How much would you pay to not have to leave your house for a first-run movie? $20? $30? $50?
