Grand Theft Auto III was a landmark game when it was released 10 years ago for the Playstation 2. One of the first and best open-world sandbox games, it spawned legions of imitators and an extremely popular franchise. And now it's coming to the iPhone 4S and iPad 2.

Rockstar is porting the game to iOS in honor of the 10-year anniversary, but the graphics will be too fancy for anything but the latest and greatest of Apple's mobile offerings: the iPhone 4S and iPad 2. Sorry, iPhone 4 owners!

I'm not sure how easy it'll be to control such a complex game using only a touchscreen, but it'll still be cool to carry it around in your pocket with you.
