The first Thunderbolt HDD lets you backup with super speeds

Apple's newest computers feature a Thunderbolt port, which allows you to transfer data at blazing fast speeds. That's great, except for the fact that almost no Thunderbolt peripherals exist. But now the first Thunderbolt HDD is out, and it looks pretty great.

LaCie's Little Big Disk comes in various sizes, but the constant between them all is the super-speedy Thunderbolt connectivity. It'll let you transfer data at 10Gb/sec, which should let you back up your entire hard drive in just a minute or two. Not too bad!

You can snag a 1TB 7200RPM model for $400, and prices go up from there.
