Seagate announces the first 4TB hard drive

Chances are, you don't need anywhere near 4TB of hard drive space. But hey, maybe you do. And if you do, Seagate's gonna be the first one to offer it to you.

The Seagate GoFlex 4TB will soon be the largest consumer hard drive money can buy. Featuring a whopping 4,000GB of storage, it should hold a whole boatload of high def video, RAW images or any other hefty data you might want to store. It's an external drive, but presumably larger internal drives will be available before too long as well. You can preorder it from Amazon now for $229. That's less than six cents a gig!
