Finally, a way to bring vinyl sounds to an iPhone

Well, sort of. Audiophiles will tell you that vinyl records are the best way to listen to music, and many also love horn speakers, but I'm pretty sure this iPhone speaker made from an old record isn't exactly what they had in mind.

British designer Paul Cocksedge takes the record and heats it up until it's soft, then he puts it in a mold that presses it into the horn shape. The technology is simple, as the horn simply amplifies the output of the iPhone's speaker acoustically.

If you want a record horn speaker for yourself, head over to the London Design Festival on Tuesday, where Cocksedge will be pressing horns live from customer's records for about $40 each. Of course you'll need to find a suitable record to use. My choice? Me So Horny by 2 Live Crew.
