Wearable system trains baseball players to pitch using sound

Muscle memory is an important part of being a top athlete, so it only makes sense that an interactive product designer has now invented a wearable training system for baseball pitchers based on another important sensory tool, sound.

Designed by Sebastiaan Pijnappel, the Adidas Wearable Coach system actually correlates pitching motions to musical notes during key phases of a pitcher's movements. According to early results, the audio feedback does indeed improve pitching performance, a revelation that may influence other sports training methods significantly.
