Video of two chatbots yapping: proof that robots hate each other

Oh my. This is the funniest thing you'll see all day. Two chatbots duking it out against each other in a battle of words. Just watch as things turn from friendly to hostile in under a minute and a half.

Pitting two chatbots on one another isn't merely for the laughs, the work is also Cornell Creative Machine Lab's submission to the 2011 Loebner Prize Competition in Artificial Intellgience — a competition that awards $100,000 in prize money to the team that can create a program "that can carry on a conversation indistinguishable from a human."

After all, chatbots are programs that trick people into thinking it's actually a human and not a 'bot.

"So you are a robot."

"No, my name is Cleverbot."

"Yes, you are a robot and your name is Cleverbot."

"I am a robot. Together we are robots."

"I am not a robot. I am a unicorn."

Looks like these "Cleverbots" aren't so clever, or are they?

We don't care who wins, so long as we can sit back and watch more of these intelligently stimulating conversations unfold. This stuff is gold!
