In case you weren't already aware, being a chicken kind of sucks. Not only are you crowded into pens with a bunch of other chickens under lousy conditions only to be killed off for your delicious, delicious meat, but they'll suck you right off the ground with a terrifying machine.
The Bright Coop E-Z Catch Chicken Harvester gathers up to 5,000 birds an hour from their enclosures, using rotating drums equipped with rubber fingers to suck them up onto a conveyor belt that dumps them into packing modules. It doesn't look super fun for the chickens, but then not much of a bred-for-food chicken's life seems all that fun. Just something to think about next time you're tearing into some chicken nuggies.
