RoboKing video equipped vacuum sends dirty pictures to your phone

Roomba robotic vacuum cleaners can be lots of fun, but they seem positively low-tech compared to this new autonomous floor cleaner from LG. The RoboKing doesn't just go around cleaning blindly, it harnesses the power of three video cameras to see where it's going, then sends the results of its handiwork over to your smartphone.

In addition to controlling the Wi-Fi equipped RoboKing from an app running on your computer or smartphone, the vacuum responds to voice commands telling it to stop or to go recharge itself.

Best of all, you can activate any of the three cameras on demand, making the RoboKing just another tool for the kids in your house to annoy and spy on each other. Why didn't they have these when I was a kid?

The RoboKing will be launched at the IFA show in Berlin this week. The price for all this high-tech cleanliness? A cool $840.
