I hope this running robot never runs after me

This is MABEL, a running robot created at the University of Michigan. Modeled after how humans run, it spends 40% of its time in the air just like us. Yikes.

With a top speed of 6.8 MPH, most people could outrun MABEL. And hell, it appears to be stuck to a pole, which would prevent it from leaving the room. But these things get more advanced with time, people! It won't be slowly plodding along in a circle forever. If it somehow gets combined with the robotic octopus tentacle, we're screwed. You've been warned.
