George Lucas tinkers with the Star Wars movies yet again

Next month, the entire Star Wars series is headed to Blu-ray. And wouldn't you know it, George Lucas has gone in and futzed around with them again for the release.

Most of the changes are probably for the best; fixing the framing of the transfers, less image ghosting and a puppeteer's arm removed here and there. But they've also gone and replaced the puppet Yoda with a fully-digital Yoda in Episode I. That's not the puppet Yoda from the original trilogy, mind you, so purists shouldn't freak out too much. But still, if he went and did that, what else did he change? We'll find out when the set is released on September 16.
