Are you one of those young people who communicates over Facebook much more often than using email, text messages or, god forbid, the phone? Well, Facebook has just released a new dedicated Messenger app for you.

The app is nice and lean, letting you send messages directly to your friends that they'll receive instantly, provided they also have the app on board. Think of it like BlackBerry's BBM for the Millennial set. That is, if those fickle kids haven't already moved on from Facebook. I mean, hell, their parents are on Facebook now. Who wants to download an app just to make it easier for mom to harass you?
